Ruediger Naumann-Etienne, Ph.D. currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Cardiac Science Corporation. Prior to becoming Chairman in October 2006, Dr. Naumann-Etienne served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Cardiac Science since September 2005. From April 2000 to August 2005, he served as Chairman of the Board of Quinton Cardiology Systems, where he also served as Chief Executive Officer from November 2000 to August 2003. Dr. Naumann-Etienne is the owner and Managing Director of Intertec Group, an investment company acting as principal in managing high technology growth situations since 1989. From 1993 to 1999, he served as Chairman of OEC Medical Systems Inc., a leader in fluoroscopic imaging for minimally invasive surgery. From 1995 to 1997, Dr. Naumann-Etienne also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of OEC. From 1987 to 1990, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Diasonics, a medical device provider. From 1984 to 1987, Dr. Naumann-Etienne served as manager of Hambrecht & Quist, an investment bank. Prior to 1984, he held various management positions with Texas Instruments. He holds a Ph.D. in International Finance from the University of Michigan, an M.A. in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology and performed undergraduate work in business administration at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany.
W. Robert Berg

W. Robert Berg has served as a director since September 2005. From July 2002 to August 2005, he served as a director of Quinton Cardiology Systems. From October 1985 to January 2000, Mr. Berg held various positions at SeaMED Corporation, a medical equipment company, including Vice President of Operations from 1985 to 1987, and President and Chief Executive Officer from 1987 to 2000. Mr. Berg holds a B.A. in History from the University of Washington.
Jue Hsien Chern, Ph.D.

Jue Hsien Chern, Ph.D. has served as a director since September 2005. From March 2003 to August 2005, Dr. Chern served as a director of Quinton Cardiology Systems. Since January 2000, he has served as Vice President and General Manager of the D.S.M. division of Mentor Graphics, Inc., a leading provider of electronic design automation products and services. From 1998 to 1999, Dr. Chern was the head of the D.S.M. Corporation business unit of Avant! Corporation, a provider of electronic design automation products. Dr. Chern received a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from SUNY Buffalo, and a M.S. and B.S. in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University.
Raymond W. Cohen
Director
Raymond W. Cohen has served as a member of our board of directors since September 2005, and served as Chairman of the Board from September 2005 to November 2006. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer, and a director, of Symphony Medical, Inc., a venture capital backed company developing therapies to treat heart failure and other cardiac abnormalities. Mr. Cohen served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director for Cardiac Science, Inc. from January 1997 to August 2005, and served as Chairman and CEO from September 2003 to August 2005. Prior to joining Cardiac Science, Inc. in 1997, he held various executive, and sales and marketing positions in both publicly-traded and privately-held firms that manufactured and marketed non-invasive cardiology products. Mr. Cohen currently serves as a director for the publicly-traded companies Cardiogenesis, Inc. (Symbol: CGCP) and BioLife Solutions, Inc. (Symbol: BLFS), as well as for the privately-held companies BioGenex, Inc. and Syncroness, Inc. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
Timothy C. Mickelson, Ph. D.

Timothy C. Mickelson, Ph. D. has served as a director since November 2006. From April 2003 until his retirement in May 2005, Dr. Mickelson was an Executive Vice President of Philips Medical Systems and CEO of its Global Customer Service business. Prior to this position, Dr. Mickelson served as the CEO of Philips Medical's Ultrasound business from October 1998 until April 2003. From December 1988 until December 1997, Dr. Mickelson held various positions at Marquette Medical Systems, including Vice President of its Patient Monitoring Division, President of Corometrics Medical Systems, and President of Marquette Medical Systems from August 1995 until December 1997. Dr. Mickelson holds a Ph. D. in Physiology from Ohio University, an MS from Thayer School of Engineering (Dartmouth College), and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
Christopher J. Davis

Christopher J. Davis joined the board as a director in 2008. He is Senior Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer of Perseus, a private equity fund management company. He spent six years at Safeguard Scientifics, Inc., a publicly traded holding company of growth-stage technology and life sciences businesses, in positions including Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative & Financial Officer and Vice President-Strategic Planning. While at Safeguard Scientifics, Mr. Davis was responsible for strategic and operational planning, financial reporting and auditing, and tax planning and compliance. He is a certified public accountant and holds B.B.A and M.B.A degrees from Temple University.
Dave Marver

Dave Marver has been the President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as a director, of Cardiac Science Corporation since March 31, 2009. From October 2008 to March 2009, he served as Cardiac Science's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. From May 2008 to October 2008, Mr. Marver was a medical device partner at Omega Fund Management, Inc. (a specialized investment fund with a focus in healthcare companies). From 1994 to May 2008, Mr. Marver held a number of senior leadership positions at Medtronic. During his tenure there, his positions included Vice President Strategy & Business Development, Vice President Sales, Vice President Marketing, and Vice President Product Strategy. Mr. Marver also led commercial activities for Medtronic's Cardiac Rhythm Management business in Western Europe and served as US Business Director for Medtronic's Patient Management business. From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Marver served as an Operations Manager for Accellent, a component supplier to the device industry. From 1990 to 1991, Mr. Marver worked in human resources consulting with the HayGroup. Mr. Marver earned his BA from Duke University and his MBA from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.
