Dave Marver has been the President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as a director, of Cardiac Science Corporation since March 31, 2009. From October 2008 to March 2009, he served as Cardiac Science's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. From May 2008 to October 2008, Mr. Marver was a medical device partner at Omega Fund Management, Inc. (a specialized investment fund with a focus in healthcare companies). From 1994 to May 2008, Mr. Marver held a number of senior leadership positions at Medtronic. During his tenure there, his positions included Vice President Strategy & Business Development, Vice President Sales, Vice President Marketing, and Vice President Product Strategy. Mr. Marver also led commercial activities for Medtronic's Cardiac Rhythm Management business in Western Europe and served as US Business Director for Medtronic's Patient Management business. From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Marver served as an Operations Manager for Accellent, a component supplier to the device industry. From 1990 to 1991, Mr. Marver worked in human resources consulting with the HayGroup. Mr. Marver earned his BA from Duke University and his MBA from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Michael K. Matysik
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary
Michael K. Matysik has served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary since September 2005. He previously served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Quinton Cardiology Systems from April 2002 to August 2005. From May 2001 to November 2001, Mr. Matysik was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of DMX Music, and from September 1996 to April 2001, he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AEI Music Network, Inc.; both companies dedicated to global media and technology. From October 1990 to August 1996, he held several positions with Corning Nichols Institute, a provider of medical diagnostic services and products, including Vice President, Finance. From February 1984 to September 1990, Mr. Matysik was a Certified Public Accountant with Deloitte & Touche, having held several positions including Manager, Emerging Business Services. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Washington.
Michael B. Adams
Vice President, Information Systems
Michael B. Adams has served as Vice President, Information Systems, since September 2005. He previously served as Vice President, Information Systems, of Quinton Cardiology Systems, Inc. from February 2000 through August 2005. From September 1995 to January 2000, Mr. Adams was Director of MIS for Heartstream, a division of Philips medical Systems, a medical device manufacturer. Prior to that, he held various positions with Intermec, including managing the Engineering Services Group from 1981 to 1995. Mr. Adams holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University.
Alfred J. Ford, Jr.
Vice President of Sales, Public Access Defibrillation
Alfred J. Ford, Jr. has served as Vice President of Sales, Public Access Defibrillation since May 2006. Mr. Ford previously served as a Regional Sales Manager for Cardiac Science Corporation from September 2005 until May 2006 and for Cardiac Science Inc. from January 2002 to August 2005. From January 2001 until January 2002, he was Sales Manager, Alternative Channels for Survivalink Corporation, a provider of automated external defibrillators, which was acquired by Cardiac Science Inc. in September 2001. Mr. Ford holds an M.S. in International Business and a B.S. in Marketing from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Paul E. Kamps
Vice President, Service
Paul E. Kamps has served as Vice President, Service since September 2005. From January 2003 to August 2005, he served as Vice President, Service for Quinton Cardiology Systems. Prior to that, Mr. Kamps served as Director of Worldwide Technical Services for Quinton from April 1999 to December 2002. From July 1997 to April 1999, he was Regional Director of TechLaw, Inc., a systems integrator and value added reseller of computer networks and desktop applications. From 1985 to 1997, Mr. Kamps held several positions with Dornier MedTech, a medical device company, including Vice President of Service, Director of International Service Business, and Regional Service Director. Mr. Kamps holds a B.B.A. in Management from Kennesaw State University.
Kurt B. Lemvigh
Vice President, International
Kurt B. Lemvigh has served as Vice President, International since September 2005. From February 2001 to August 2005, he served as President, International Operations for Cardiac Science Inc. From 2000 to January 2001, Mr. Lemvigh held the position of General Manager of GE Medical Systems, Northern Europe, a medical device manufacturer. From 1996 to 2000, he was the Cardiology Marketing Director for Europe, Africa and the Middle East for Marquette-Hellige, and prior to that he was their Marketing Manager for cardiology information systems and Holter monitoring products in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Before joining Marquette-Hellige, Mr. Lemvigh was the Sales Director of a Danish medical distribution company for 10 years. Mr. Lemvigh holds a Merconom Business Diploma degree, with a major in Sales and Marketing, from the Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College.
Darryl R. Lustig
Vice President, Cardiology Sales, North America
Darryl R. Lustig was appointed Vice President, Cardiology Sales, North America, in March 2007, after serving as Vice President, Primary Care since September 2005. Mr. Lustig previously served as Vice President, Primary Care for Quinton Cardiology Systems from March 2003 to August 2005. Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing from September 2000 to March 2003 for Burdick, Inc., a company Quinton acquired in January 2003. From November 1999 to August 2000, Mr. Lustig was Vice President of Sales for Cimtek Commerce, a healthcare information and e-commerce company. Mr. Lustig has over 25 years experience in healthcare manufacturing and distribution. Mr. Lustig holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor concentration in Advertising from Southern Illinois University.
Feroze D. Motafram
Vice President, Operations
Feroze D. Motafram has served as Vice President, Operations since September 2005. From June 2003 to August 2005, he served as Vice President, Operations for Quinton Cardiology Systems. From February 1994 to April 2003, Mr. Motafram held various positions with Eaton Corporation, an industrial manufacturer, including Plant Manager and later Business Unit Manager. From August 1985 to January 1994, he held several operations and engineering positions at Westinghouse Electric Corporation, an electrical equipment manufacturer. Mr. Motafram holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Walchand College of Sangli, India.
Robert W. Odell
Vice President, Product Strategy and Development
Robert W. Odell served as Vice President, Engineering since January 2008 before accepting his present role in April 2009. From October 2006 to December 2007, Mr. Odell held the position of Senior Director, Business Unit Cardiology for Siemens Medical Solutions. From September 2005 to October 2006, he was General Manager/Vice President, Development for Analogic Corporation. From December 2002 to April 2005, Mr. Odell held the position of Vice President, Product Generation for Medtronic, Inc. From October 1998 to December 2002, he was Vice President, Global Marketing/Product Development/IT for General Electric Medical Systems. Mr. Odell holds an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University.
John Sawyer has been the Vice President, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs of Cardiac Science Corporation since April 20, 2009. From May 2003 to April 2009, he held the positions of Vice-President, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs and Director, Regulatory Affairs for Welch Allyn Inc. From January 2001 to December 2001, he was the Director, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for Fujifilm Medical Systems USA. From May 1999 to May 2003, he was the principal owner of Realistic Quality Solutions (a consulting firm for medical devices). From April 1993 to January 2001, he was the Manager, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs for OEC Medical Systems. Mr. Sawyer is also a Lead Instructor with the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). Mr. Sawyer earned his MBA and BA from Tampa College, Tampa Florida.
Tony Titus

Tony Titus has served as Vice President, Marketing since August 2007. From July 2006 to July 2007, he was Vice President of OEM Business Development at Masimo Corporation, a medical technology company. From June 2002 to July 2006, Mr. Titus held various positions for Medtronic Corporation, Emergency Response Systems Division, a medical device manufacturer, including Director of Business Development and Director, Global Strategic Marketing. From 1997 to 2000, he held various sales and sales management roles with Tyco Healthcare. Mr. Titus holds an M.B.A. in finance and operations from Cornell University and a B.A. in Marketing from Western Washington University.
Barbara J. Thompson

Barbara J. Thompson has served as Vice President, Human Resources since June 2007. From May 2004 through June 2007, she was Senior Director, Human Resources at Expedia, Inc., an online travel service. From February 1999 to April 2004, Ms. Thompson was the Owner/Consultant for Thompson HR, a consulting company in Kirkland, WA. From March 2001 through December 2002, she was Vice President of Human Resources for WRQ, Inc., a software company. Ms. Thompson was Vice President of Human Resources for Starwave Corporation, which became The Walt Disney Internet Group, from January 1994 to January 1999. Ms. Thompson holds an M.B.A. from the University of Washington and a B.A. in Business from the University of Northern Iowa.
